Open Call: Photography Masterclass with Robert Polidori, Red Sea Museum | Jeddah
The Red Sea Museum invites emerging photographers from Saudi Arabia and the Red Sea region
to apply for an exclusive masterclass with Robert Polidori, the Canadian photographer
acclaimed for his expansive, intricately detailed images of architectural spaces.
Limited to 6 selected participants, the masterclass offers a rare opportunity to learn directly
from Polidori’s artistic process and his approach to architecture, memory, history and
transformed spaces. The program will include a focused session with the artist and a field visit
to Thuwal Fishing Village, where participants will photograph the Red Sea through coastal life,
fishing boats, shoreline textures, light and everyday maritime presence.
Who can apply:
Emerging photographers based in Saudi Arabia or the Red Sea region, including students, earlycareer photographers and artists working with photography.
Applicants to submit:
• A portfolio of 8–10 photographs
• A short bio
• A statement of interest, maximum 200 words, explaining why you would like to join the
masterclass
Selection criteria:
Participants will be selected based on the artistic quality of their work, originality, sensitivity to
place, strength of visual storytelling and relevance to architecture, landscape, memory or
documentary photography. Selection may be made in consultation with Robert Polidori.
