The exhibition also highlights the experiences of merchants and explorers, including the renowned Ibn Battuta.
On the first floor, Makkah is showcased as the ultimate destination for pilgrims crossing the Red Sea. Visitors will follow the Mahmal's journey, which transports the Kiswa from Cairo to Makkah. Throughout their travels, pilgrims and artists have expressed their experiences through various mediums, including art and photography, which will be displayed in the museum.
The exhibition concludes with a dedicated space for the color blue, revealing how the Red Sea has inspired artists from diverse backgrounds.
